IT shares plunge

IT shares were in the red zone in today’s session.
Shares of tech giants dropped. Tech Mahindra (down 3.94 %), Infosys (down 2.36%), HCL Technologies (down 2.35%), NIIT Technologies (down 1.18%), Tata Consultancy (down 0.99 %) and Wipro (down 0.32 %) were the leading underdogs in the index.
The Nifty IT index was trading 1.85 per cent down at 12467.65 around 11:46 am.
