NEW DELHI: Shares of HDFC gained nearly 4% after the reports came in that the Chinese central bank PBOC ” Peoples Bank of China ” bought 1% stake of Indian private lender HDFC bank.
People’s Bank of China (PBoC) has 1.01 according to cent stake in HDFC as of March 31. It is not known whether the Chinese central financial institution sold all the stocks among January and March.
Companies want to disclose shareholding changes to the exchanges at the end of the quarter.
