In Friday’s session, Tata Motors traded 0.97% low at 10:01 AM. Approximately 34,126 shares changed hands on the counter.

The stock opened at Rs 36.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 36.0 and Rs 35.4, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Tata Motors Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 86.55 and a 52-week low of Rs 28.35.

Total market cap of the Tata Motors Ltd. stood at Rs 26256.28 crore at the time of writing this report.

The company announced an amalgamated net sales of Rs 71051.42 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2019, 9.71% more from previous quarter’s Rs 64763.39 crore and 6.84 % more from the year-ago quarter’s Rs 76264.69 crore.

As of 31-Mar-2020, Domestic Institutional Investors held 6.14% stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 16.84% and the promoters 42.3%.

According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of -24.79 and a price-to-book ratio of 0.48. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
